1. Impersonation Scam
Not every caller who claims to be from the NDIS could be a fraudster, too. In this scam, fraudsters pretend to be NDIS officials, registered providers, or even government representatives.
They sound confident and professional, asking for “a quick verification” of your NDIS number, date of birth, or bank details.
You might receive unexpected calls, texts, or even home visits where scammers pressure you to share information or make a payment.
Remember, the real NDIS will never ask for your personal or financial details over an unsolicited call or message.
