But with the right NDIS support, they don’t have to manage daily tasks on their own. Because NDIS provide & funds in-home support services to help participants live more independently and more confidently in their own homes.

From personal care and domestic assistance to therapy delivered in your living room, this support takes care of you at home.

It gives freedom, comfort, and the most important peace of mind to the participants.

At Nascare Disability Support Services, we deliver personalised in-home support tailored to your needs and preferences. As a registered NDIS provider with over 12 years of experience, we’ve been helping participants live life on their terms with confidence and support they can trust.

In this blog, we’ll explore what the NDIS covers under in-home support and how it can benefit you as a participant.

What’s NDIS In-Home Support?

NDIS in-home support means getting the help you need with everyday tasks right in the comfort of your own home. It’s designed for people living with a disability who want to stay independent but need some extra support to manage daily life.

This support can include:

  • Help with showering, dressing, and getting ready for the day

  • Assistance with cleaning, cooking, and doing laundry

  • Therapy or skill-building sessions at home

The purpose of the service is to make sure you feel safe, comfortable, and in control of your life while living in your own space.

Where does in-home support fit into your NDIS plan?

In-home supports are funded through two main categories:

  • Core Supports – for help with everyday personal tasks and household chores

  • Capacity Building Supports – for services that help you build skills and live more independently over time

With the right in-home support, you can live life on your terms, with the care you need, right where you belong.

NDIS covers in-home support like personal care (showering, dressing), domestic tasks (cleaning, cooking, laundry), and therapy at home (occupational therapy, physio, behaviour support). These services help you live safely and independently at home.

Read How In-home Care Supported Joe

Joe lives with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). After his injury, even basic tasks like showering, cooking, and cleaning became difficult. He often felt stuck and depended heavily on his family.

That changed when Nascare came into his life.

Our caring support workers began visiting Joe regularly. They helped him with daily tasks, but more importantly, they patiently taught him how to do things on his own again, like preparing simple meals and managing his routine. This not only helped Joe feel more confident and independent but also eased the burden on his loved ones.

“Nascare didn’t just support me, they helped me grow stronger every day.”
Joe, NDIS Participant

Just like Joe, we’re helping many NDIS participants live independently with our NDIS services.
